Pros: Quiet Operation, Sheet Capacity, Quality Construction, Shreds Credit Cards, Staples and CDs, Secure Cut Size, Jam Resistance
" This shredder is very practical and easy to use - it shreds a lot of sheets at one time, is very easy to empty, and it's amazingly quiet. It shreds into very tiny pieces, so it takes awhile for the paper bin to fill up and need emptying (unlike strip shredders). You can put a standard-sized 8 gallon trash bag in the paper bin, so cleanup is quick and tidy. "

" I had tried a few shredders and they have come and gone. I had always heard good things about Fellowes shredders but they were always more expensive than the others. Well, after purchasing 2 cheaper ones (both in cost and apparently quality) I purchased my first Fellowes shredder. It works as advertised. No problems excellent shredding of all types of materials it says it can handle. I've never been happier with a shredder than with this one. "

Cons: it need s to have wheels
" I added this shredder to another one I already own, boy what a difference. It is jam resistant, and handles all I can give it.
It runs very quiet. I just wish it had wheels to make it eaiser to move around

Pros: Quality Construction, Shreds Credit Cards, Staples and CDs, Secure Cut Size
" This shredder was purchased at Costco (so we could return if not good enough). It's a keeper. It replaces a Staples House brand one that was ripping itself apart internally. This CM12Ct is MUCH heavier and it all seems to be in the motor and cutter assembly. It's a bit noisier than the old one, but MUCH more effective. Runs at a slightly slower speed, (at least it SOUNDS like it), but it's obviously just geared with a heavier, slower motor. The cutters run about the same speed.
I've only jammed it ONCE (a new record for me), and that was solved with a quick push of the back-up button, followed by the 'override' button to make it tough it through....that was 28 sheets of paper (grabbed too much). It comes with a tube of lubricating oil to keep it running good.
Only downside I can see is the need to move the sliding slot for credit cards and CD's. Doesn't seem real sturdy, but does the job. Crunches through even labeled CD's and VD's without complaint.
One of the few 'pro-sumer' models (under $150) that has a decent duty cycle (20 min on, 20 min off). Many of the cheaper ones are 3-5 min on, 20 min off (to cool the motor).
I haven't had to hit 20 mintues yet, but I don't think it'll be a problem even then....
