Cons: can be addictive
"My DM12Ct is the second Fellowes Shredder that I have owned. The first one lasted 6 or 8 years....I'm no longer sure but because I have relied on it for such a long time I never thought of counting the years.
Now I have acquired the DM12Ct to replace the one very old one I overused and I find this latter model even better than the old one. It was funny how I tested its sheet capacity by counting the wad of papers I shredded initially, ranging from 4, 10, 15 and later over 20 sheets and it chewed and shredded with such quietness and smooth continuity.
Later, when I emptied the container and discarded the shredded materials I noticed the clean cut of every shredded strip of paper which only attests to the sharpness of the blades.
This DM12Ct is one fine machine and I will continue to recommend it to friends and whoever would ask."

"I have worn out three other brands of shredders while I have been trying to protect my I.D. by shredding all mail and documents with my name and other info on them. This is a small task, it is just my wife and I at home. But the other machines suffered a slow death as they slowly ran out of life. However, this shredder is a MONSTER! It handles everything with ease and keeps on going and does not slow down. No more papers getting stuck! The other shredders said they could handle CD's and credit cards but they always got stuck. This is not the case with this awesome machine. I also like the safety features. This machine only runs when it is needed. It doesn't keep on going after the papers have gone through it. Good to know with grand kids visiting!"

"My Fellowes DM12ct shredder is a very great machine. It does every thing the manufacturing company says it will. This is my second sherdder, my first was a smaller one purchased about 7 years ago and is still running and doing a good job. My wife is using it for smaller jobs and loves it too. The cross cut makes me feel a lot more secure that my information is not getting out to others for theft purposes. I will stay with the Fellowes brand. Great product.
