"7/28/2010 My wife and I did a lot of research before buying this shredder and it was well worth the time and effort. The Fellowes DM CT12 shredder is just the best of everything. It shreds DVD's, CD's and credit cards as if they were tissue paper. My 12 year old son tried to jam the shredder (within reason) and could not. It truly does shred 12 pieces of paper, even if they are stapled together! I know, we did just that. And the shredder never even slowed down. I think the most pieces of paper we shredded was 18. It went a bit slow but the using the turbo button made it rip through the sheets. One thing to be careful of---we put regular kitchen garbage bags inside the drawer to catch the confetti and if you push the confetti down to be able to make more room (as we do) when you take the garbage bag out be very careful. There are small pieces of plastic that hold the window into the drawer and they can rip the garbage bag, leading to a big mess. That is the only thing we have found that requires a bit of attention. The machine can practically shred by itself. Buy with confidence. I will be telling everyone I know about this shredder! And it is very quiet. It wouldn't wake a baby!"
"This is a powerful shredder that exceeded all my expectations. It does not jam easily, although I coaxed it into a jam by feeding too much paper once. I was not too difficult to un-jam.
i would recommend it to a friend."
