"Had a Fellows shredder for 10 years. Was satisfied until, because of my inattention to feeding it, it jammed. Could not unjam it. It cost about half of what I paid for the DM12Ct. The overall quality of the Dm12Ct is worth the higher cost. I am impressed with what it does as well as the extra features. I love the pull out receptical."
"I bought this shredder because of its heavy duty ability. So far i have thrown paper plates, cardboard, newpapers, junk mail almost every day. I use the shredder to create bedding for my worms that i use to eat my garbage and that I sell for fishing. I have been overly impressed with the abuse it is wiling to take and how quickly and quietly it does it. The basket capacity is awesome and it is so safe I let my 6 year use it (with supervision of coarse!). So far I love this shredder. It has jammed a couple of times, but with very heavy use."

"Our first Fellowes Shredder lasted over 10 years, and I hate to admit that I never even read the manual nor did I know about oiling it! Never needed to troubleshoot - it just kept shredding and shredding, just like that little rabbit in an unnamed commercial years ago! An excellent value regardless of the price! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it."

"This shredder is definately worth the investment. The one I have now is the second one I have purchased. The first one died at the hands of my teenage daughter. It does what it is supposed to , when it's supposed to. Just keep it clean and oiled regularly and it runs ! Get One .....or Two."

"I was very apprehensive in replacing the older strip cut thoroughbred that I had for the past 8 years in personal and home office use.
Did a lot of research as to competing models and features and was persuaded to go with a Fellowes product, but also hoped to be somewhat economical in my purchase. Then I got an opportunity for great deal on this one at Costco!
After arriving home, I began immediate use and was very pleasantly surprised with the effectiveness, muffled sound while shredding, and the quick automated turnoff after cycling.
