" After having 4 shredders which lasted just about 2 years each, it was time for another shredder. I picked this shredder because it was a micro-cut shredder. This shredder is so quiet that I can talk on the phone and shred at the same time and I have had no one ask me what the noise was. My last shredder, which was also a Fellowes, sounded like a big Mac 18-wheeler crashing through my office wall. I love everything about it. The shredded pieces are so small that it is practically dust! No one can reassemble these pieces. I do not care for the credit card/CD shredder as the pieces are big strips and you can still read the credit card number and/or the same very easily. It needs to cut it up even smaller. Other than that, I would not hesitate to recommend this for home or small office use. Manufacturer's warranty could be longer than one year however.

" I originally purchased another shredder after reading "hype" about it. It was more of a gimmick ("Stack and Shred") and was pulled off the shelves within a week of me receiving it. I immediately did some research and came up with the MS-450Cs which not only had great reviews, but fit my needs perfectly.
After receiving it and using it for just a few days I found I could not have been happier or felt better about the purchase. It feels solid in the way it does it's job, but is nice and quiet while doing it. The "micro-cut" is great and makes me feel more secure, while filling up the basket much slower.
The fact that it has wheels is nice, although I don't plan on moving it, but none-the-less it may come in handy when cleaning the area around the shredder. The unit "feels" solid and seems to be made well.
So, all in all I am very happy with the purchase and feel a sense of confidence in it's use, both present and future.

" The Fellowes MS-450Cs is an excellent shredder! My colleagues and I work with higher education information that is often confidential and should be destroyed safely- this shredder helps us to maximize our shredding needs by cutting up to 7 pages at a time while not overheating. It will effectively shred plastic disks, comes with troubleshooting and maintenance information, and online product registration is very easy. We look forward to using our shredder for many years and recommend Fellowes products to anyone in need!

" I have only been using the produce for a few days so I cannon speak to it's longevity. However, I have enjoyed using the product. It is so much quieter than my previous shredder and appears to work effortlessly. I also like the very small pieces because the bin does not need to emptied as often. I look at two other Fellowes shredders but this one suited the office space better and, as I said before, I like the way it works quietly.

" Don't usually take the time to write reviews but I have had such a great experience with this shredder. This is my second one . I searched the web to find this particular one because it works. The first is in my husbands office. Bought it for him as a gift about 2 years ago. No problems ,no jams ,quiet ,easy to dump, & safety features really give you that pieace of mind. Mind you I usually dont get excited about office equipment ,but when it doesnt work & you keep replacing them, you really appreciate it when you find one that does what it promises. This one is for me ,was using his but had to relocate due to work and he wouldn't give it up.

" I have owned this shredder for over two years and by far it's the best shredder I have ever owned. After 6 previous shredders which had problems ranging from constant clogged teeth to absolute failure after 1-2 weeks, this one has NEVER had any maintenance issues. I don't even oil it as I should. Excellent bin capacity helps a lot too.

" The MS-450-Cs is a great home office paper shredder. It completely destroys the documents being shredded. The small size of the shredded particles make it impossible to obtain any sensitive information, such as accounts numbers or SSN's, from papers, personal records, etc. shredded with the MS-450-Cs. It is also a sturdy and very quiet shredder. I strongly recommend the MS-450Cs to anyone who needs highly secure shredding capabilities.

" This shredder is by far and away the best I have owned so far. It actually delivers on being "quiet" while shredding, even when shredding credit cards and CDs. Especially nice is the interior trap to trap the plastic refuse so it doesn't co-mingle with the paper allowing for recycling of the paper that has been shredded. It is everything that Fellowes has claimed. I haven't found a negative aspect to this shredder yet. Way to go!!

" I have to do a lot of shredding in my work, and I have burned my way through quite a few shredders. I have never thought that there was such a thing as a 'quality' shredder. The ones I've had in the past have been pretty flimsy, noisy and weak. This shredder, on the other hand, is what a shredder SHOULD be. It really does do 5-7 sheets at once, it is very quiet, it does not strain or smell bad, and if, in the course of much shredding, it overheats, it shuts itself off and cools down and then is ready to work again. It shreds into quite tiny confetti, it can do CD's and credit or ID cards if one needs that, and it is designed so that it is difficult to get hurt by it. It really is so much better than what I had before that colleagues have been stopping by to try it. Shredders are not commonly thought of as exciting, but compared to all the ones I've had before, this one rises to the occasion.

" The MS-450Cs Micro-Cut Shredder does by far the best job of destroying documents of any shredder I have owned (both strip-cut and cross-cut). It is an ideal size for home use and operates very quietly. Since it is primarily for occasional home use both the sheet capacity and duty cycle are adequate but limited. If you have a lot to shred be prepared to spread it out over time or purchase a model with a higher sheet capacity and longer duty cycle. The micro-cut size is good for securely destroying documents but the small pieces can be a little messy when emptying the bin. Keeping a small vacuum cleaner nearby helps to clean up the small pieces that seem to want to get away. Overall I think this is a quality shredder and it does a great job for its size and purpose intended.

" This shredder is amazing! I use it for large volumes of personal identifiable information on a recurring basis. I never have to worry about overuse because the warning light notifies me when the motor needs to cool down. The micro shred result guarantees that no one can recover your personal information. It also handles CDs and credit cards. It's safe and will stop working if you touch any area near the cutting blades. Very easy to maintain with the lubricating oil recommended in the owner's manual. The stroage bags can handle large amounts of shredded documents. A fantastic product that I highly recommend.
