" The shredder tends to miss the bin with some of the shredder paper. This makes it hard to fit the bin back in after you empty it. Plus the opening is just plastic and makes it hard to get the bin to lick in place. Have to take care to make sure it is properly secured otherwise the bin open up and the shredder stops. Bad design

" I purchased the Powershred 99Ci shredder as a replacement. I expected something comparable to the previous product. I was in for a surprise. The Fellows Powershred far surpassed my expectations. The shredder is quiet, efficient, and I love the safety features. I only regret not making this investment sooner.

Cons: cleaning up after emptying.
" This is our second machine. The first on lasted for about 6 years and started having minor problems with jamming. Overall it lasted for about 7 years before we needed to buy a new machine. Near the end of it's life cycle, we had to cut down to about 5 sheets of paper in order for it not to jam. We replaced it with the same machine because we feel that it served us very well and lasted a long time for how often we use it. Brand new it performs perfectly and is very jam resistant.

" I wouldn't go so far as to say it was my Best Purchase Ever, as the example would suggest, but it is by far the best shredder I've ever purchased. It is quiet, the SafeSense feature gives me peace of mind with grandkids running around, and it just massacres paper, credit cards and cds. Best feature?? I don't even have to open the junk mail to run it through the shredder. Just feed the unopened stuff right in.. Great job Fellowes!!

" This is the perfect size and model for a home office where I shred both personal and business junk mail and documents. I had a good 10 years with the last shredder of the same model. I told myself to always buy Fellowes as they were always there to help whenever I had a problem. Three years ago when I thought it was time to get a new one, a wonderful gentleman walked me through some easy steps and I was surprised to see the shredder was working again and lasted another 3 years! The customer service is very helpful, even long after the 2 year warranty is finished. I just unpacked my replacement today and needed to ask a couple of questions about attaching the wheels and registering the new model. There is never a long wait on the phone and the people who answer are easy to understand and very helpful. This new shredder is much more quiet than the older model of the same number. The only thing different is the bin is made of a lighter weight material. This is not a negative thing as it is lighter to pick up and empty. I am keeping my old bin from the 10 year old model as a spare as it fits this newer one. The new shredder does have the small holes on the side to attach the small holder on the side, but the holder is not included with this newer one. I use this to keep extra plastic bags and my oil bottle handy. I just attached the one from my older model and all is well! As I use this every day it is important to me to have a product that is good quality and has great backup help when I need it (which is only about every 7 -10 years of use) No complaints! " Have had 2 shredders before the 99Ci but both of them failed to perform as advertised and only lasted a short time. The 99Ci performs as advertised and runs quietly and smoothly. Its a pleasure to work with such a fine piece of machinery.

" Bought this shredder when my old one died and parts were not available. Read the reviews and it seemed to have pretty good user satisfaction. So far, it has done a great job on several hundred sheets of paper of varying thickness. Happy so far with the speed, quietness, and size of the waste bin.

" I had my last Fellowes paper shredder since 2005. It still works, but I thought it was time for a new one. The only brand I considered was Fellowes because of the dependability and the longevity of the product. At one point when that shredder was about two years old something went wrong with the motor and customer service immediately shipped me a whole new head for the product. Great customer service means alot to me! The new shredder is very quiet and really can shred 18 sheets of paper. Not that I intend to do that all the time, but I just had to check it out. The bin is much larger than my old one and I like that it pulls out from the front. I had to lift the head off the bin on my old one, so this is a big improvement. I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend your product to anyone! Hope this one lasts as long as the other one...

" I do a great deal of shredding and typically burn out a shredder every couple years. I researched to find a great replacement and discovered Fellowes. The controls are easy to use and well located. Docs are shredded into tiny pieces, and the colored lights keep me from jamming my machine. I expect to have a long relationship with my new Fellowes.

" Was given to my mom for Christmas. Everyone loved it. Perfect size, quiet, no need to assemble, other than to add the coasters if you would like to be able to roll it. Shreds credit cards, CD's, staples, great sheet capacity and bin size.

" Shopped several brands on the internet and found this model to review the best for this price range. Another family member had purchased the same model and recommended it to me. My old Royal quit and there were no parts available to fix it.
